Can you handle the blessings?

Have you ever found yourself praying over and over about something you really want, and then when it's finally here, you panic because you didn't expect that blessing to actually arrive in the way that it did?

(If you haven't that's okay, you'll eventually get your moment)

If you have... why panic? Could it be that you slightly thought you were not actually ready?

I found myself in a moment like this recently.

I had prayed for something for so long and when I got it, I literally told God , "I don't think I'm actually ready for this".

A lot of times we ask for a blessing forgetting that we also have to work hard to keep that blessing.

When you find yourself praying for something, ask yourself this, "If God were to give me this desire right now, will I be able to handle the responsibility that comes with this blessing?"

For example,

Getting a car. You now have the responsibility of monthly payments and maintenance to keep this vehicle in check

Getting a degree: You now have the responsibility of balancing time, work and/ or your social life.

Becoming a leader. You now have the responsibility of leading individuals into the right direction and being an example of who Jesus really is.

All of these blessings require you to have responsibility.

"If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities."

Luke 16:10 NLT

So...can you really handle the blessings?
