  • Psalm 16:8- “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me”.

I think the best part of this verse is knowing that God is with you. I know that I can bear all things with him and will/cannot be taken down. When we start to become aware of God’s presence in our lives, it will give us a sense of peace. One person in the bible that is evidence of this is Daniel. In the book of Daniel, Daniel was thrown into a lion’s den because he was praying to “his” God (the one and only true living God). The king (King Darius) had signed a decree stating that if anyone prayed to anyone, divine or human, not King Darius would get thrown into a lion’s den. So, Daniel was the faithful guy he was. did not pray to King Darius but to God instead. Long story short, Daniel was caught and thrown into the lion’s den. I want to mention how peaceful Daniel was in the den; because he knew God was beside him, he wasn’t scared at all. The Bible mentions how Daniel didn’t have a single scratch on him. This is proof that God was with him!

  • Daniel 6:21-22- “Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, your Majesty”. I believe knowing that God is with and beside me reminds me that I will get through these difficult circumstances. God will get me through all of the things and issues I am currently facing in life and provide so much more. Knowing that God is with me also gives me confidence! If God was with Daniel in the lions’ den, then I know that God will always be with you and your circumstances. God has taught me to rely on him more and always to be aware of his presence.

A word of encouragement, know that God is with you. Know that with him by your side, you can endure all things. I have no idea what battles you are going through right now, but God is not finished with you yet!
