Your Will Not Mine

Written by: Elsie R

"Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done".

Luke 22:42

I found myself praying something like this recently. Every single time, I have to face something that requires for me to be used; I become fearful. Fearful to a point I beg and tell God, "No please, use somebody else. Don't let me go through this". Don't let me go through the conditions that will have a negative effect on me. Knowing how good God plans are though, I go back and pray, "But God if it's your will, let it be done".

Despite how painful the process was going to be, Jesus knew how much he was needed.

Despite how much they take, hate, or try to break you, YOU are still needed.

Someone once said, "Someone out there is counting on your prayers, don't give up". (Unknown)

And it's true! Someone out there is depending on your faith and is watching your walk with the Lord.

"This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Matthew 6:9-10 NIV

May the Lord give you strength always.
